Exporting Rendered Video

You can export an rendered image simulation or animation to a Video for Windows (AVI) file. When you elect to export rendered video, you specify the starting and ending frames. These frames correspond to the tape player frames for simulated or animated motion.

Note: You must export to an AVI file to preview the rendered video.

To export a rendered video:

  1. Click the Image/Video  button in the Export group on the Motion Results ribbon and choose Simulation Window to Video from the submenu, or clikck the Export  button in the Render group on the View ribbon and choose Simulation Window to Video from the submenu.
This displays the Export Video Save As dialog.
  2. Enter the first and last frames of the video segment in the appropriate text regions.
This specifies the range of frames for the video segment you want to export. If you are unsure, return to the main window and run the simulation or animation sequence, noting the frame numbers in the status bar.
  3. Click OK in the Export Video Save As Dialog.
SimWise displays a progress dialog as well as estimated time for completion. If you cancel the export process, the AVI file will contain the frames completed up to that point.
