Photorealistic Rendering
When you use photorealistic rendering, you render selected bodies with prefabricated surface properties. SimWise automatically computes optical effects such as reflections, shadows, and refraction (for glass) to add a dramatic realism to the rendered images. You can also apply surface texture by reading from an image file. You can then preview the effects and edit, refine, and generate an image or video file in a number of standard formats.
To apply surface finish properties such as base material (chromium plate, marble, injected plastic, etc.) and surface pattern (tread plate, rough, etc.). Effects of these settings appear in a separate window when you preview the image.
When you apply texture to a body surface, you select an image file and apply it to the surface. For example, you can select a corporate logo and apply it as a decal to a part. Texture effects can be previewed in SimWise workspace and override the color of the body.
Note: To achieve photorealism, SimWise shows only bodies in the rendered images. Non-physical entities such as constraint symbols and Coords are excluded from the images.
