Snapshot

The "Shapshot" feature allows the current window (any window, including the simulation window and meters windows) to be captured as an image file and saved as jpeg, gif, or bmp format. The Snapshot feature extends the image capturing feature of Photorealistic Rendering. The Snapshot feature can be used to capture any view into an Image file, including meter windows.

The Snapshot feature may be accessed by clicking the Image/Video  button in the Export group on the Motion Results ribbon and choose Export window to image from the submenu, or clikck the Export  button in the Render group on the View ribbon and choose Export window to image from the submenu.

To create a snapshot:

  1. Decide which view window to capture. The complete view area will be captured into the Image File. Perform view manipulation operations before beginning the capture.

  2. Click the Image/Video  button in the Export group on the Motion Results ribbon and choose Export window to image from the submenu, or clikck the Export  button in the Render group on the View ribbon and choose Export window to image from the submenu.

  3. The Save As dialog appears with the preview of the captured Image.

  4. If satisfied with the results, select the image format and save; otherwise, select Cancel and repeat the previous steps to create a more suitable image. The image is saved to the selected location.
